Hi,
I have an Elizabeth KEARS, age 12 at the 1851 census of South Hetton, Durham,
born at Sherburn Hill, Durham. Her parents are Robert KEARS born abt 1807 at
Percy Main per the 1851 census and wife Jane who was born abt 1808 per the
census. The census states Jane was born in Percy Main but I think she m
have been born in Scotland. Her parents are James ANDERSON and Mary MARSHALL
from Scotland. Mary MARSHALL is a sister to my 4th great grand father. I have
tracked Marys family from Scotland into Durham were the majority of the men
were miners. I know that this Elizabeth is a few years younger than your
Elizabeth who married Abner DAGLISH but I thought if it isn't the same girl
they are probably related.
Regards,
Scott
